Empowering people with dyslexia to reach their potential is invaluable, it will better our society as a whole. Recognition of the characteristics of dyslexia is key to providing the best education we can. Educating the educators, administrators, legislators, families, colleges and communities is another key to unlocking the strengths of people with dyslexia. I have studied dyslexia extensively to empower myself, my children, my students and their families and my colleagues. I have been trained and used Orton-Gillingham methods for the past 20 years as a SE teacher. I have received training in EBLI, Evidence Based Literacy Instruction, and see tremendous growth in my students. I tutor students in the evenings and on weekends. I am very involved in Decoding Dyslexia of Michigan. MoreLess
